AIR EROSION TEST ON CEILING & RIGID DUCT LINER

    Product
    TBL 32/50 & TBL 32/25 Black

    Method
The test was carried out generally in accordance to the method described in UL 181 Part 17 "Erosion Test" except that the velocity used was 13.5 M/Sec.

    Requirement
Material for the lining of the air ducts shall not break away, crack, peel, flake off or show evidence of delamination or continued erosion when the air is passed through the typical section at the specified velocity. For the purpose of this requirement, continued erosion is considered to be either a constant or increasing rate of erosion.

    Result
The product showed no evidence of breaking away, cracking, flake off, continued erosion or collection of eroded particles on the collecting screen at the test velocity of 13.5 M/Sec

Acoustisorb, when adhered to double-sided foil is also used for wrapping the duct externally to maintain thermal efficiency.
